Pains me again to agree with le jackal, but, again, I must agree with every word of his 1:38 post.

The more powerful player is the one who has more money to begin with. The ability to get nothing is power. The need to get something is weakness.

Impossible to answer without knowing more about the other player.
How badly do I need the money and how badly does he? What are the break points?
In my case, if it’s really $100 at stake, I would be fine with 50/50, but if he countered with 90 for him and 10 for me my response would be “fuck you motherfucker, my offer just went down to a penny for you and 99.99 for me.” And we would both walk away with nothing. All because 100 isn’t real money to me.
For a million bucks the outcome would be totally diff’t. A million bucks is a lot to me.
