M4L, you appear to have weathered these storms well. Re Yankee $$, it doesn’t seem to matter a lot of the time. Why don’t they sucessfully develop their own talent in the farm leagues rather than buying aging pitchers in their mid 30s? Cliff Lee will be 33 next season. Ok, he’s still young, but why can’t they go for some young home grown talent. This is the Yankees problem. They buy aging stars. It doesn’t necessarily coalesce into a smoothly functioning team either.
