I’m running a quite little non-profit with a bland name funnelling millions in undisclosed corporate $$$$ to republican senate candidates. I hear benson and legion are organizing tenants on Chicago’s south side.

The Society for Clinton Hill Halloween Walk is really great–20 or so Clinton Hill houses, including some of the great mansions, dolled up as haunted houses, complete with lights and sound effects. But you have to bring the babe to get candy, extex.
It’s on the 31st starting at 5:30–pick up a map from the little community garden at Dekalb and Hall/St. James. Or just follow the crowd.
There’s a great Halloween thing in Ft. Greene Park on Saturday, including a dog costume contest. 12-3.

I went to a parent-teacher night last night in one of those high schools which are one floor in a huge 6 or 10 story building. Everything was so familiar: salmon colored paint on the halls, halls that extend on and on, pipes coming out of the ceiling at odd places, huge coffee urns with styrofoam cups.
Talking with the teachers and admnistrators reminded me how much of a massive labyrinth the school department really is.
The wind is blowing from West Northwest. Take note of that.

(Reuters) – An ink toner cartridge converted into a bomb was found aboard a United Parcel Service flight traveling to Chicago from Yemen, CNN reported on Friday.
The bomb was discovered when the plane was stopped in London, CNN said.
Two UPS planes at Philadelphia airport and one UPS plane at Newark airport in New Jersey were also being investigated on Friday for suspicious packages. A UPS truck in New York City was also under investigation, police said.
