  1. There are a lot of Yemeni’s in my neighborhood, have been for many many years. I always feel bad for them when something like this happens. : (

I’m flipping back and forth between CNN and NY1.

  2. m4l, I saw a restaurant (fully equipped) advertised in the window of Stuyvesant heights realty…no idea where it is & didn’t recognize the pic of the storefront.

    Looked well equipped too.

  3. DIBS, no doubt but the upfront capex is more than I have and/or can safely round up from others.

guess it’s back to restaurants. just hope the streak of ranning into schizo landlords end. already have 2 deals fizzle out as landlord changed mind at the last moment

  4. I know a Yemeni jew from Indiana. Really good guy. I was arguing about NYC real estate prices with him at 8:46 a.m. on September 11, 2001. He left my last firm to start a hedge fund. Lives in BoCoCa.

  5. scratch that bowling alley idea. profits would be juicy but the per lane cost comes in closer to 65k and then there’s the bar, restaurant, etc.. that’s a ton of upfront capex.
