The ED show. He is the liberal version of Lou Dobbs on MSNBC at 6PM. He screams all the time and basically would have you believe that it is the end of the world. Watching him is very unpleasant and generally horrible, leading one to contemplate jumping out a window or leaving the country.
Also, I saw the last major real estate debacle in NYC, 73/74, altho I was too young at the time to fully understand what it was going on. Whole office buildings stood empty.
We didn’t need to go too far back to remember the last real time that NY Real estate market was in the crapper – 1991-1993/4. I was the President of the Coop we had, a job for masochists, when shareholders lost all equity and sold at a loss (bought in 1987, sold in 1992 minus 100,000 on a brownstone coop.) Many people were trapped in houses and pushing boards to ask for permission to rent. We did but after a while they had to pull the plug and sell. Before they did, a family of 4 was living above me in a tiny one bedroom. It was the same story all around. Started picking up in 95 or so.
When I lived in Clinton Hill, black folks in the street often called it Bed-Stuy!
Donatella, thanx, got your email.

No worries, Cobble 🙂 As long as my addy isn’t taped to the keys, no worries.
I thinks Sharon Angle is a drunk!
I can’t keep $$ in that situation. Feels like stealing.
