  1. I keep needling people in that divorce thread on the b’lyn paper.

Everybody is all up in everyone else’s business the way it goes down in small towns (except for the anonymous part, thought I guess that’s kind of like how people talk behind everyone’s back in a small town). It’s kind of small towny and comforting to see people act like that. Is that weird?

  2. dibs – Thanks for the advice but I only have blue chip stuff I got from my mother’s estate that she’d gotten from her parents’ estate. Selling to buy now would eat up a ton of money – I got it in ’91 & it’s all way up.
Ack. Now I’m dying for pastrami! No decent deli in the Slope.

  3. Ordering chili at Katz’s is like ordering lasagna at Peter Luger’s (not that it’s an option).

I never understand why people go to restaurants and don’t get the items the place is most well-known for. Although I do take this too far at times. I basically demanded Mrs. C order the Beef Wellington at One if By Land, TIBS. I once went to Carnegie Deli with a couple of visitors and my friend’s wife ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. Ridiculous.
