  1. rf: In Hong Kong, the first language taught is Cantonese with Traditional Characters. Later, spoken Mandarin is taught.

    The simplified character set is easy for readers of Traditional Chinese to pick up, and most adult Hong Kongers switch effortlessly between the two.

    Me, not so much. I really like my traditional characters.
