  2. You do realize the correct answer to the question “Who is buried in Grant’s Tomb” is: “nobody”, as it is not a tomb, and therefore no one is buried there.

    Here is a piece of trivia: Gravesend is unique in that it was the only part of NY that was originally founded as an English colony, at the time of New Amsterdam. Moreover, it is unique in that it was a colony started by a woman – Lady Deborah Moody – who fled England to seek religious freedom. Her original house still stands next to Gravesend cemetery – the oldest cemetery in NYC.
