  1. Lech – ha – thanks!
I know we all fight back and forth-right vs. left – but I would hope that we are all smart enough to put party BS aside and get things done right for the country. I just feel with this particular election the right and the tea partiers just seem too extreme and I don’t like them solely using tax cuts as their primary goal on their agenda.

and you know what – I like Christie – look he wanted to stop the tunnel project and then got a lot of bad press and the feds kinda were like “um, huh – you have like $20billion from us to fund this project you dummy!” and he then made the announcement that he will rethink his position on the project – that takes guts and courage and I hope he really does rethink it and signs off on the project

  2. Dave, re: 1:20 post, come on. Seriously? You’re spinning. Did you not pay the least attention to Snappy’s post? Mine? Gemini’s? It just isn’t true that we are only spouting “hot air, insults and vague generalities”. So spoofing it with your “you can’t make this stuff up” comment is silly and misplaced.

  3. “You know, it just isn’t going to get better than this election. If the present polls are to be believed, here is where we will stand on November 3rd:

-Liberalism will be thoroughly repudiated on a national, state and local basis throughout the US.”

IF–and this is a big IF–the Republicans control both houses of Congress after the mid terms the margins will be much much narrower in favor of the Repubs than it currently is in favor of the Dems. They will be nearly equally divided houses, hardly a national repudiation of liberalism than a typical and cyclical rebalancing of the two-party system. That being said, I would still bet on a Repub house and a Dem senate.

  4. If more gay kids knew me and could have someone like me as a role model to whom they could look up to, they’d have a much more positive outlook on life. Not these whining, namby pamby clothing designers. Christ, even Karl Lagerfeld as CEO of Chanel isn’t a role model with those fans he’s always carrying.

  5. lech: “. I assume it was the usual suspects loudly asserting how dumb, uneducated, crackpot, crazy, lunatic, fringe, low IQ, etc etc etc etc Paladino is, without actually addressing anything of substance.”

Pot and kettle of the black persuasion? Else why the love for this crackpot? Oh I forget, you take pride in not caring for anything, especially the person you’re voting for…

  6. “you a 6 year old in a sandbox yelling at other people because you don’t have the capability or maturity to deal with differing opinions”

I went to Pier 6 with the kids on Sunday afternoon – the whole thing is a huge sandbox and there was lots of yelling.
