The hail clogged up the drain in the bad yard near my back door. Then the water and hail started to pour into my house under the door. I have to do something about getting an additional drain in the back. I feel like this house is not protected during these freak water events. The last flood was the big Nor Easter when they closed the subways. Same thing happened.
I never really experienced a hail storm, maybe a little bit as part of a winter storm, never a warm weather one! I never saw anything like that in my life!
Shit!! I got pelted with inches of hail. I was sort of enjoying it (for 1 minute) watching an inch of it accumulate in the front. But then the backyard was super pelted, leaves came down clogging the drain and then water pouring into my kitchen (my WOOD FLOOR). This is big flood number 3! I mopped with towels like mad, tried to open door to unclog drain and MORE poured in. Finally cleared the drain and cleaned up. Never a dull moment. Never a f**king dull moment!!!
never in my life have i seen a hailstorm! and one like that! insane!!! i was watching pornography with headphones and i thought hooligans were slapping at my windows!
went outside and the ice was golf ball sized and covered the entire street and it smelled like freezer burn.
