  1. If I have children I will be moving back to Cali when they reach high school because I’m not paying all that money for a supposedly better Ivy League school. They can attend the University of California @ Something Other than Riverside.

  2. “I’m with Lechacal”

As Captain Smith said when Titanic struck the iceberg, duly note the time in the log book. At 11:03am, on Wednesday, October 6, 2010, bxgrl agreed with lechacal!!!

Don’t get too cocky there ENY. Rob is not a fixed target. You’ll fire a shot and then rub your eyes because he’s not standing there any more and you’ll turn around and realize he’s standing behind you.

He can stand on his head blindfolded with a beadbug beard. He will STILL be a 30-something, broke-ass, underemployed, ignorant, whining, geographically challenged loser who never goes anywhere, rants about things he does not understand and cannot influence, and blames everyone else for his problems. But if you choose to identify with such qualities, by all means feel free.

  4. I wish I felt better about the NY state system. But would I rather pay 200k to Princeton than 80k to SUNY? Yes, yes I would.

How does VA do it? William and Mary is 6k a year.

I’ve never understood why more students don’t move to CA or MI or WI or anyplace with a good (and attractive to 18yos) state school and live there for a year to establish residency.

  5. ditto, true enough, a lot of history reading for pleasure nowadays. Of course, I didn’t read any of it when I was supposed to, instead cramming for exams and furiously writing papers at the last possible moment, but it always worked for me, so I kept procrastinating, even though I HATED it every time.
