I think there’s a market and some cable companies carry it. Rogers probably just wanted too much $$ to carry it.
Quebecor tried to start a news / opinion network that got nicknamed “Fox News North” (think its official name was Sun News) but that did get blocked, controversially.

Have you ever overpaid for a new pickle?

  3. “You sure it isn’t because Canadians refuse to watch crappy TV?”

    biff,
granted, this is a small sample,
but if Canadians are logging on to the OT,
they clearly wouldn’t have a problem with
    crappy TV.

  4. underwear IS cheaper in the hood so are socks. when i lived in harlem socks were so cheap that i never washed them, i just thru them out! it wasnt worth washing them. sounds so wasteful now, but i couldnt be asked to do laundry back then. i lived in harlem 5 months and i only did laundry (brought it to the fluff and fold cuz the laundry room in my building was run by little old ladies hahah) like THREE times.

  5. Dave, so, I have standards, what’s wrong with that? HUH?? Certain things I CANNOT accept in a man:

    1) Orange cheese puff dust on his lips, mustasche.

    2) Italian men who have recipes which are 2 pages, single spaced.

    3) Men who have wives, mistresses, etc. Tom cats.

  7. I bought some diapers in a provincial town in Peru once. We subsequently discovered they were made out of a liquid-repelling substance that NASA would have been proud to invent.
