I made fresh tomato sauce Saturday. I blanched a big pot of plum tomatoes, peeled them, put them in the blender and then cooked them with spices. Yum Yum.

okay, let’s see.. pay the rent? or shop at union market? lol
and what’s up with all the childless 20/30 year olds in park slope on FOOD STAMPS!? i see them all the time these days in line at associated buying very healthy, yet kinda still expensive for associated standards food? i see them all the time with their benefits ID photocard. yes i give them nasty looks. i give them nasty looks cuz i know for a fact these people ARE paying market rate rents and yet when you go on the nyc website and look up the qualifications to get food stamps it seems exceptionally low? at least it did a while back, maybe they upped it?
i want my fucking food stamps too!
seriously, i dont think they should issue food stamps/cards to people. there should be set up food banks stocked with all the most BASIC of things one needs to survive. no organic pasta, expensive fresh veggies, etc… just big bags of rice and 2 % milk.
if you wanna be a leech you should have to learn to wear the leech scarlet letter proudly and walk into a food bank, not be dangling your groceries in front of people who are paying out of pocket. and YES i see your platinum credit cards when you take out your food benefits card!!! how is that possible? i cant even qualify for a simple credit anymore. GRRRRR

“If you want to argue with a creationist, go find one. Dumbass.”
All worked up eh?
No-need to go cursing at the screen and typing such.
Donatella, no, only spinach and numerous types of cheeses.
Snappy, oh, we kind of do that too. we add that stuff to the plain non-meat commercial sauce.

Snappy, does your lasagna have meat, pork?
This version I made is so good. The Italian hot sausage really gives it some zing!
