  1. >You can’t use them in covered light fixtures and you can’t use them in dimmer switches

Good quality cfl’s work fine in covered fixtures (like the standard ceiling globe,) had mine in for over 7 years in some.

You can get dimming CFLs for a premium but they don’t work a well as incandescents. Believe you can still buy halogen bulbs which are fine with dimmers

  2. I was really pleased with my experience at Third Eye Tattoo, with tattoo artist Brian Wren. The place is spotless, the atmosphere is very laid back, and I thought the prices were quite reasonable. And Brian is a phenomenal tattoo artist. His artistry and subtle use of shading is just incredible.

I got my tattoos at Third Eye Tattoo in Park Slope (Union Street between 4th & 5th).

HA! that place SUCKS!!!!!! or maybe they are really good? i went there THREE times to try and get one of my tattoos alterered, and they gave me serious attitude and quoted me a ridiculous price.

there is a very good place on ludlow street on the LES, i recommend them… forget the name of it, lived above for like 4 years and had some done there.

  4. When I was in high school and my brother was in junior high, my parents decided to hire a photographer to come to our home and take a formal family portrait. So we all got dressed up, and posed for endless shots. When the photographer said he was finished, my brother and I said, “wait a minute,” and we pulled out four sets of those funny plastic glasses with the huge noses and moustaches attached. My parents thought it was hilarious, so we posed for another photo wearing the funny glasses. Neither the formal nor the funny photos ever ended up on the wall, but it’s the funny photos that we all remember fondly.
