  1. dave, yeah, the candelabra bulbs are also an issue. And I have a great antique floor lamp from my grandmother, which lights an entire room, and it has 3 candelabra bulbs, and a bulb with a giant/oversized base that’s hard enough to replace, and no way is there a CFL for it.

  2. Denton popped up – welcome surprise.

Ditto, if you came by to spy on us, did you pick out where we were sitting? I was scanning the folks walking by, staring in, etc. to see if any of them could be you (but truthfully, I was looking for eye candy as the stroll to the place was 100% candy-FREE)

I always thought that the UN building would make a fantastic condo conversion project.

I’m usually on the same page politically with benson ut rarely architecturally but I agree with this.

Plus it adds a lot to the tax base. get rid of all those consulates and we have a lot of nice rowhouse porn.

  4. dibs – There are bulbs for the smaller receptacles &, in fact, they work pretty well & seem to be worth the extra they cost. They come in a package w/ an adapter for a standard lamp too.
