Jeter’s terrible yr is going to make the contract extension talks much more difficult vs if he had his usual yr (ie would’ve gotten 100M 4 yr extension just like that)
My friend said last night that he thought that the energy at Yankee Stadium would be really different if they were playing the Red Sox last night. We felt like the energy was a little blah, like the Yankee fans aren’t really feeling an edge as though Tampa was the team to beat. Poor Jeter. He is really in a slump and the only player to be batting over 300 is Robbie Cano.
it’ll be a much closer match-up this yr. hamels is better and oswalt is better than what they had last yr.
