slopefarm,
don’t forget gingrich’s latest thinly veiled attack on Obama “what if [Obama] is so outside our comprehension, that only if you understand Kenyan, anti-colonial behavior, can you begin to piece together [his actions]? That is the most accurate, predictive model for his behavior.”
“stop trying to defend the man’s religion.
one can clearly see he is not a religious person.
you speak of the hypocrisy, that’s what I’m pointing out.
He wouldn’t have been elected if his truebeliefs on religion were revealed.I’m sure that’s true of many Presidents.
The problem many politicians face, particularly, those on the left,is how to claim to represent the people who, by a clear majority, don’t really share your beliefs.”

Legion- you must be kidding. Really- with logic like yours I’m surprised you got out of high school. No one has to defend Obama’s religion- none of us are qualified to judge. Especially you. Personally I think any religious rightwing nutjob in any office (except a shrink’s) is more dangerous than any leftist/Marxist I know. You blather on about your “values” – you should realize your version of “american values” seems to have little to do with the Constitution or even the principles this country was founded on. You have no idea what Obam’a true beliefs are and I wonder at the sheer arrogance and ego that leads you to believe you do.
As for whether or not one can lead if they don’t “share the beliefs” of a majority, let me say this. I vote for people who will represent me in government, and who (I hope) follow the Constitution. Obama- or anyone- could believe a head of lettuce is G-d, and I wouldn’t care so long as they govern well.
Plus your assumption that only a “real Christian” can properly represent the majority is a crock of sh*t. This country is a plurality, we are multicultural and multi-ethnic. That’s the deal- if you don’t like it, that’s just too bad. You have serious issues with “American Values”- I suggest a remedial American history course for you. (And a physics one as well.)

Occasionally, I’ll treat myself to a Starbucks cafe mocha (or something like that) because it tastes like chocolate milk.
me too! a venti (that’s yuppie for large). the funny thing is it’s become a ritual where i only treat myself like once a year when i get my tax refund back haha. it’s the only time i can justify the price. tho these days those starbucks drinks seem cheap compared to the food truck / gourmet coffee shop dingbats
I believe it’s a misconception to think that if a person is religious then they have no contradictory traits. People have duality built into them. Evangelical churches have a much greater sense of absolute good/wickedness. Mainline churches see humans as flawed but getting there. That is the accurate reading to me.
” I don’t think anyone advancing these points is seeking to do so out of honest inquiry and I don’t really think your freudian slip question is an intellectually honest one, either. I think it is yet another talking point that we will be seeing more of in the media. It may well do a little bit of damage, but not because there is any truth or integrity behind it.”

(clapping from the peanut gallery.)
“im not walking into a supermarket deli counter and asking for 3 hectograms of baloney”
Particularly since you can walk into the OT and get 3 hectograms of baloney without asking. And for free I might add.
regarding Obama, who are the viable and better alternatives?
if God had wanted us to drink Kool Aid he wouldn’t have given us Tropical Punch trees.
The Fibonacci Sequence is very cool. Don’t know what that has to do with seeing into people’s brains, though.
