jackal, sorry to hear about the hours. I’m a bit burnt toast myself these days — not a day off since I started here March 1st, not even a national holiday — but my hours are still not as bad as yours, at least not yet, though we’ll see what happens when we start covering the capital markets desks in 2 weeks. Do they have showers in the office? They had them on every floor when I was at White, Shoe & Firm, which I remember thinking was NOT a good sign when they were first pointed out to me.
so am walking home down 1st avenue last evening..some guy with this cart attached to front of bike with his little girl sitting in it…and what does he do, keeps riding and pulls out his cellphone to blab. CHILD NEGLECT

dog walker – upped prices
cable / internet – upped prices, apparently some deal has just “expired”
electric bill – omfg the cost of trying not to be a sweaty pig, plus upped rates
vices – bodega UPPED prices again, new york state raising the prices of cigs another 1.50 starting next month
MTA – more upped prices
student loans – GO AWAY LEAVE ME ALONE!
wtf it never ends? why can’t prices just stay the same for a few months? am i the only one who notices the prices of essentially everything keep going up literally like every few months!?
i don’t even have any fall clothes yet 🙁

lechacal. you’re right. but you know, I can’t feel sorry for you because I suspect you make one gazillion dollars a year. there’s a 29-year old who lives in my building who is always complaining about his long days at Goldamn Sachs. it takes everything I have not to take him out in the elevator and leave him in the recycling bin. he’s a little skinny thing — I think he’d fit in there.
