  1. I like the bike lanes. I’ve been riding my bike twice a day for the past week. So far I’ve been confronted with idiots/other bikers going the wrong way in the bike lane too many times to count. I’ve been almost doored twice. And I’ve been cut off by a jackass in a Lexus. The lanes make me feel a bit safer, but it’s amazing to me how often it’s other bikers that aren’t following the rules!

  2. jessi, I was NOT trying to teach you a lesson! That is so NOT me. It may sound trite, but, ever since my parents and most of the rest of my family died a few years ago, I’ve adhered to the “life’s too short” philosophy for trivial nonsense like that.

I literally have had no time. I had to work this weekend, unfortch, and I got very run down — running a high fever over the weekend, and yesterday I woke up very dizzy, got back into bed and even lying down the room was spinning. That’s never happened to me before, but a friend aptly described what I was having as “bedspins”. But I still haven’t been away from my post here.

  3. haha dona. Well sorry, but even though I didn’t care at all I’m starting to really like the aesthetic of living in a city where a real effort is being made to accomodate bike travel. Not a fight I would have put any effort into but not that someone else has been fighting it and winning I’m liking the results.

  4. Times says new contracts w/ cable companies stipulates that they are going to have to keep appointments or pay subscribers if they miss the “window”.
It may be applied to other services too.

  5. CGar, no. Cheap federal rowhouse in Brooklyn College area.

I’ve gotten it into my head that I’m going to sell you my place tho. I’m preparing a very sly marketing plan now. Prepare for a lot of dropped comments about how much I love my super, my neighbors, etc.

BTW, Did you hear the market is BACK? Bidding wars all over the place! Offer 20% over if you’re serious. Thats’ my advice.

  6. What a beautiful day this is! Perfect weather to walk to work over the Bridge at 7am this morning, and I’m at my desk on a high floor day, overlooking the harbor, away from my usual fishbowl. Plus it’s Wednesday.
