Oct. 16th, 2008 was the 1st…that brought so many (not yet called) PLUSAs together in perfect harmony.
ishtar…how old are you??? That would be the starting point in how to build a portfolio. But there are many, many more questions that need to be answered before someone can construct an effective IRA or portfolio for you.
And by the way, I don’t think MM was suggesting those were “life goals.” Just that they describe the major demographic on this blog, which might be making *rob* feel a bit inferior.
That sounds good. I am into not wasting any more money.
Pick up food from expensive bodegas is really really expensive. I am starting to do stuff I never did, tracking expenses more carefully.
Rob, I so agree with MM about the money thing. You need to use your creativity, your education and your intelligence in ways that get you more money. Why the hell not? Why SHOULD you be poor? Why? Poverty seriously sucks. I don’t care what you say about being happy the way you are, blah, blah, blah. Poverty sucks. If you were family, I would seriously get after you, probably harrass you/ be on your case about what you are doing with your work/money life. But I can’t twist your arm in the same way, but really I would spend a little time thinking about ways that you can expand yourself professionally and make some goddamned CASH.

Rob, if you got $1 million – how long before you blew it all?
probably a couple of months. it would be a fun couple of months tho!!!
i would however pay off my student loans and buy a teeny tiny studio apartment for me and send my dog to boarding school in europe.

“The suggestion that this is a life goal makes me throw up in my mouth.”
What do you consider to be acceptable life goals? Serious question.
*******
Yes, Lech, inquiring minds want to know. You’re not working those crazy hours so that you CAN’T buy a car or a second (or first) home.
Grand Army,

I’ll do water sports but I draw the line on scat. The Wiki post for 2 girls, 1 cup is about as bad as it might get!!!!!

Happiness.
Oh yeah, and if you’re at work you might want to wait until you get home before googling 2 girls 1 cup.
