rob: bullshit. your usual misrepresentation. It’s not that some music is good and others bad, it’s that music (any type, including singing) can be done well, badly or atrociously.
“you can’t say some forms of music is bad and some are pure and good. that’s just as ignorant as people who say one religion is pure and goood and others are “bad”. you know, the kinds of people you like to jump all over!!! THAT was the crux of my argument as well.”
Don’t dilute it, MM! Saying that panders to every anti-elitist who wants to think they can sing, play music, write for the New Yorker or whatever. While ‘good’ my, indeed by subjective and changeable, the consensus remains a well-founded criterion for excellence, at least for the moment. Else there would *be* no excellence.
I hate it when parents would tell their kids ‘good job!!’ for everything they do. If anything, I’ve been erring on the opposite side with my son…he knows when he can do better.

therefore i believe everyone can sing. like they say in court, case closed!
i dunno about the voting, Dona. Not in your district and don’t know what to do in mine either.
The supposed anti-Vito Lopez candidate for district leaderis that busy-body woman who I don’t like. But since not a legistative office, really shouldn’t be able to do harm. Tempted to vote against current assemblywoman but not too clear on who this opponent is.

Yes rob, everyone can sign. But not everyone can sing well.
Q.E.D.
Case closed.
rob, some music is bad. Take reggaeton as an example.
and i still have yet to see how you can say rap is not music. it might not sound pretty to your ears, but it’s still music.

Without the Beatles, there would have been no Rossini.
