G10, my pleasure. I’m more of an ’80s music guy, but here’s my crack at a ’90s list. Speaking of crack, I would have loved to include the Butthole Surfers, but I’m not really a fan. In no particular order and there are some repeats from the ’80s (R.E.M., U2, etc):
Nirvana
Pearl Jam
Radiohead
R.E.M.
Green Day
U2
Oasis
Dave Matthews Band
Prince
Alanis Morissette
Arrested Development
Matchbox Twenty
Barenaked Ladies
Goo Goo Dolls
John Mellencamp
Ben Harper
Collective Soul
Counting Crows
Tracy Chapman
Cranberries
Rob, no joke, try going to an opera sometime. You might be really surprised. Sometimes it can be boring but when it is great, it is off the charts wonderful.
I put together a Flickr page of stoop pictures for the Forum and several people asked me for it. I posted the link (thought it was open) but no one can open the link. I have to go home tonight to figure out how to permission others to see it.
Do you need to permission one by one, i.e. enter a permissioned email address somewhere???
Don’t listen to songs for the lyrics but can’t stand it when they are inane but apparently trying to be profound (e.g. every Doors song I ever heard).
Inane and proud of it is OK.

Just in case you think that it is “snobby” and uptight, I saw the last Met performance of a singer by the name of Leonie Rysanek. Do you think that the people clapped pollitely and primly went off home. NOOOO….. people went byserk, clapping, yelling, and the peanut gallery (all the hard core in standing room) were kicking the backs of the seats and roaring applause. It went on and on. The Met had to turn off the lights to get people to go home.
