Back in the early 80’s I had a girlfriend who had a loft in Soho. Madonna had the loft below her but was never there. My friend would go through her mail and take out the interesting freebie concert and event tickets.

aAAAGH I hate that video, which is weird b/c Kate Bush and Peter Gabriel are two of my favorite singers. But that video is basically 4 minutes of me squirming uncomfortably and not wanting to watch them do their weird thing.
I listen to a lot of contemporary folk and electronica – no need for “talent lessons” there, just good songs.
I am willing to admit that Sinead’s version of ‘Nothing Compares” is pretty damned good. Very moving – makes me cry so I can’t listen to it.
