Seriously, it’s a shame. I am interested in social sciences and think they can provide useful (and usable) insights. Unfortunately the work that gets the most public attention is crap like this.

Arkady, I’m blown away! My self-esteem has taken such a hit with this job hunt/unemployment (understatement). It’s just super super nice to know that an old employer thinks well of me.
Here’s an example of fucked American tax policy. Microsoft announced that they are going to do a debt deal to raise money to pay a dividend. MSFT has $36 B i cash ans short term investments but only 26% of that is here in the US and if they were to bring the rest back it would be taxed so it sits in the banks overseas and the US citizens, the shareholders, get screwed.
