It’s the Jewish New Year, Pete. The holiday week ends next Friday night-Saturday with Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, when Jews are supposed to fast to atone for the bad things they did last year.

so i have off today but i dont know why. i mean duh i know it’s a jewish holiday. but it’s weird to be off for a holiday not knowing what that holiday IS! it’s like memorial day and labor day. i was already waaaaay out of school before i even learned what the the hell they were!
