I was sitting at the bar at the Black Bass Hotel last Saturday and the woman next to me was allergic to gluten. The hotel actially had a version of their menu that was gluten-free.
lots of people are highly allergic to gluten these days. if they got it in their hair they might go into anaphylactic shock! hotels need to protect their asses from lawsuits.
showers, ugh Andy and I were grading a new hotel in soho last friday night and while the shower was beautiful, it had the water pressure of a water pik, all for $400/night.
Oddly though all the “products” were glutten free…who drinks shampoo?
Oh rob, I forgot to actually answer to the issue: water is neither free nor infinitely available. In fact, NYC’s requirements for a new water treatment plant mean we’ll be saddled with higher water costs forever from next year. So saving water is good. And if you get the right kind of water-saver shower head, you won’t even notice.
i had a gluten free cookie once. it tasted like a bamboo stick.

The whole carbon offsets concept leaves me feeling chary.
