Cobble, they reserved a large picnic table for us, and when I got there, he told me if I wanted to, I could take over other tables if needed. Super nice people.
Hey people! I had a great time last night. As the resident complainer-about-venues, I loved Pollo Caliente. No loud music blasting in my ears so I can’t hear the person standing right in front of me. Enough room to actually circulate with people, and a place to sit when I wanted to. Thanks to Denton and CGar who bought me drinks, both at the same time. My reputation!
Great to meet Emily, Grand Army, Edifice, and anyone else I hadn’t met before. So nice to reconnect with Park Sloper, rf, the Why, and WonTon, and of course, all of the now “regulars”, so many now that I don’t get a chance to talk to everyone, but great to see you all. I missed Arcady and Cobble, both of you better be there next time. Etson, too.
Many thanks to Snappy and Cobble for putting together a rollicking good time. A Cobble/Snaps party always rocks.
It still amazes me how such a disparate group, with such differing backgrounds, experiences, origins, interests, and views can meet on the internet, and then go on to meet in person, and fast friendships are formed. Kinda gives me hope for Brooklyn, and the future.
Well… I’m glad everyone had a nice time last night. I was at a work-related event that I forgot about. Uggh. Should have completely forgotten about it! Damn outlook calendar and your little reminders!
surprised you say that about yellow cabs…to me much cheaper than car service. But admit rare occurence when I would have enough extra cash to pay for either.
How would you expect any of them to know way around—they know about 10 words in english and have been in NYC shorter time then most W’burg hipsters.
there was something in news not so long ago about bunch of yellow cabs setting meter to different setting and ripping off the passengers.
Very smart on the part of Hot Bird to have pitchers of water at the end of the bar available for self-service.
Thanks to all that planned the event. Very cool to meet blowfish even though DeLepp was hogging her.
“In which case, DIBS should be an I-Beam! LOL!”
ROFLMMFAO!!! YES!

montrose i tried to say hi to you and you totally snubbed me lol.
*rob*
Pete…certainly for short hops but I took one from henry St to my place and it was ridiculously high. And he drove the same route that a car would go.

“OOOOHHHH! A Halloween PLUSA Party! I like 🙂 Theme: Come dressed as your interpretation of a commonly used ‘What’ insult. Ha!”
