I am really sorry that I didn’t get to talk to more people! Did talk (some more some less) with Dave and Xin, Denton and Mrs. Denton (delightful, btw), cmu, the who, Pres. Biff, DeLepp, edifice, WonTon, CGar (who was MUCH later than promised!), Parksloper, and that wild-haired tiara lady and the glitter lawyer. And I finally met my homegirl, Bxgrl, who went to the same college (the truly fabulous Binghamton University, aka Harpur College, aka State University of NY at Binghamton) back when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Our years there overlapped and we had lots to talk about. Saw many others across the yard. Would have loved name tags! But I am so lame.
I got there early and wandered aimlessly since I couldn’t see a trail of glitter to the reserved table where Mr. & Mrs. D and Dave and Xin and that glitter lawyer were sitting. She was hiding the gift bags with the prizes so I was thinking, those LIARS! All those people who posted that they would be there before 8! Where the f are they?
I liked Hot Bird a LOT! Back when I lived in Clinton Hill it was an auto body shop of some renown. But mostly I felt OLD hanging out with the PLUSAs and all the other beautiful people who go to bars on Thursday nights!
Seriously, Snappy, thank you so much! And Cobble, glad to read that you’re feeling better but would definitely have liked to meet you!
What a great time- I so enjoyed meeting rf and donatella (Have no fears, rf- i have a REAL tiara for you. Not that glittered paper imitation!) 😉
And I erally liked the venue-not to mention it was one of the few times it was a place easy to get to for us. Won ton- we want to see more of you! And finally- since I totally forgot to bring my limerick (which I am positive would have beaten slopey’s hands down…ha!) I present:
Ode to a Stoop
there was a young lady who pooped
all over donatella’s new stoop
Donatella retaliated
The lady was mutiliated
and then she came down with the croup.
Cobble, the bartender told me when I arrived that I absolutely *had* to let him know the moment Donatella arrived – he had an important package for her behind the bar. DCB slipped in at some point and left her an envelope of pics of Turkey from his trip since he was TOO CHICKEN TO JOIN US!!! (mmm hmmm, yeah, DCB, I’m lookin’ at you with the stink eye right now!)
“Yes, they were changing the fare zone from a “1” to a “2”. You can always look at the meter and see if it’s set wrong. I always check now. (Not that I take cabs very often these days.)”
From NYPost police blotter :”man was busted in Union Square Park for snapping photos up a woman’s skirt, according to a court complaint.
A cop in the park spotted the creep and quickly placed him under arrest. ”
Someone really needs to talk to Denton and tell him he is taking this artsy photography thing a bit too far.

Pete…this is a national sport in japan….guys put mini cameras on the tips of their shoes and film under girls skirts on escalators, in crowds, etc.
