  1. Liked the Williamsburg story, ENY. Always hard to remember (for me at least) how much places changed. I am often very surprised by some of the gentrification patterns in my home city.
I have lived in NYC long enough to see some areas that were already gentrifying go hyperbolic, but not long enough to see complete turnarounds.

  2. quote:
In fact, the older you are, the more attractive you are to younguns who like them old!!!!!!!!!

ew, if it’s not about the money then that is just way creepy. creepy from both directions actually.

I wrote three limericks in my head between toweling off and dressing mornng. One was about you, rob. Here it is:

There once was this butterfly named Rob
Who liked to shock people on blogs
    He gets home by 5:40
    and looks for a forty
That’s two forties! That’ll do the job.

  4. – ride a racing bike
    – go fast
    – sit up on the bikes
    – have the coordination to look around and see what is happening without falling off the bike.
    – signal
    – wear a helmet

Hmmm, have to consider ‘dishonesty is the best policy’ now

  5. The thing in life is, when you make a list of pros and cons about choices and decide on whatever way the balance is greater, when looking back regret is impossible. I once did that very thing, it was a distaster, but I feel zero pang of regret because at the time, it was what I wanted to do, and all signs pointed to yes.

Recently read a quote from the third, left-behind founder of Apple saying that very thing.

Also, my novel ends with a similar monologue!
