There was no problem until Fox News got hold of the story and started the lies. Before that even Dr. Laura (of ALL people) told Daisy Kahn she thought the cultural center was a great idea. BTW, archbishop Doyle is only one of many religious representatives and as far as I can see, carries no greater credibility or skills than anyone else. If I wanted to be like benson or Legion I would take great umbrage because, after all, isn’t he from the Church that protects pedophiles? Ergo, Doyle, by association, must also be a child molester.

Bxgrl, I hear you and I think you are right that there are many hysterical opponents out there. I think he needs some help in better communicating his message. You may be more familiar with his work over the years but from what I have seen so far, he could be doing a much better job. And I think that working together with religious leaders in a more visible way would be a good idea. I think that Archbiship Doyle should meet with him. (Not the same as having to apologize….not at all).
