  1. Jessi, that brings back memories of the Chilean-bound 1972 Uruguayan airplane that crashed in the Andes (and subsequent cannibalism). The survivors were forced to feed themselves on the 12 that perished in the crash. That was truly horrific.

  2. “I really want to be an interior designer 🙁

What in the world would stop you? That seems like an entirely achievable goal.”

Well, two things. First, law school debt. Gotta pay it off before I can explore something less lucrative. Second, not sure if I’m good enough. I like my taste, but not sure someone would pay me for my work. Also, I’m bad a drawing.

  3. “why arent you harping on biff? he was the first one to make a chilean cold miner joke!”

Actually I was just finishing off DIBS’ limerick and made no reference, humourous or otherwise, to the trapped miners. But don’t let that stand in the way of your argument.

  4. Re Staten Island–in the early 90s my Haitian boyfriend was painting a house there, and I (white) came to visit. The next day, the house had been broken into and NIGGER GO AWAY painted on the walls. I guess they thought we were buying the house together.
