Donatella- perhaps we can co-ordinate our legal problems regarding our semi-hubby?
CGar- well, actually I married you after you wrote that lovely story about your mother. which still makes me tear up. Of course, the money didn’t hurt 😉
“Given his poor attitude over the past few months”
Really, Dave? You think so? Oh, that’s not good. Not good at all. Very sorry. Shudder to think what happened in the past few months to change my attitude . . . Ruh-roh.
Biff, great story about your Zaide. Really. Funny, that’s just how my nieces felt about my stepfather; since they never knew my father, he was the only grandfather they ever knew.
Interesting about the Holocaust books. I had a similar experience with my grandmother. And in a similar vein, I note that William L. Shirer’s “Rise and Fall of the Third Reich” is the prolly the only book with a swastika on its spine that most Jews have in their libraries.
Rob, you have it all wrong. It’s debt forgiveness for people who have BEEN REPLAYING their college loans for at least 20 years. This hasn’t even passed, just proposed by Obama.

do you prefer being used for your money or used for sex?

Someone in the HOTD thread just posted something I suspect will never be uttered by DIBS:
“I hate dark wood – scares the crap out of me. It is grand and frightening.”
I feel that way too. I know that makes me a brownstone heretic.
