G10, I know benson and denton are similar in sound, but we should be different in style enuf that you don’t confuse us!
“”Gem;
The biggest non-tolerance issue on Staten Island these days is Mexicans getting beat up by blacks in Port Richmond. So far, there has been about 10 incidents this year, with a few deaths and hospitalizations involved. Look it up, and then get back to me.
Somehow”
Denton- I know – it’s disgusting! that happened in Suffolk county too – a bunch of hate mongering teens beating that immigrant to death! – didn’t something like that also happen in Bushwick too?

Oh I noticed, benson. I simply don’t care if you respond or not. I realize you think this puts you on some high moral ground but sadly, it doesn’t. It just makes it seem that you can’t answer me because you can’t refute my argument. And most likely, you can’t.
So please feel free to not respond- be assured I will still be commenting on yours.

was it really necessary to go there? sorry if i like to learn about different speecies of aliens and insects instead of different cultures of human beings. im sorry but i find humans a tad on the boring side, especially the uber religious ones.
I am for the cultural center. Right where it is, run by the people who want to run it.
I think this country is decending down a dark path of ignorance and intolerance that is dangerous and tragic. There are too many people like rob who revel in their ignorance and don’t want to learn about anything or anyone different than they. Happy fools who think ignorance is intelligence and wit. There are too many people like Benson who take one comment in a sea of comments and make it personal, so they can wrap themselves in the comforting cocoon of their personal indignation, whilst waving the flag. You can’t deflect the discussion away from the bigoted rantings of many on the right by trying to foist the blame onto some stupid asses who happen to be black in Staten Island. Should I get all in a huff because black people were caught out being as stupid as anyone else?
Where is the vaunted “Christian Charity” that too many people seem to think is the only true religion in this country? Nothing Christ-like in the behavior of people who think all Arabs are terrorists who should be carpet bombed back to the stone age. No love your brother as yourself in the hate I’ve seen at Ground Zero. That is not following Christ.
The making of political hay over this topic is sickening. I admire Bloomberg for his stand, in spite of the overwhelming pressure for him to cave here. I also admire all peoples of all faiths who have rallied behind the cultural center, showing that true tolerance and understanding is possible.
I’ll give you the courtesy of one response, for the record, since you’re back.
In case you haven’t noriced (once again, since you’ve been back) I refuse to respond to your posts.
Of course, you are free to write any post you wish, and make any comment you may wish about me and what I write. I, however, will not respond to them, just so you know.

ignorance. phfft!

Now THAT was a Montrose Morris post.
I agree with everything but the jab at Rob – think of him as embracing dadaism – he’ll make more sense that way.
“His profile says he’s an attorney but his legal thinking about the constitution would suggest he knows less law than a meatball.”
god – can we stop ripping on italians already?!?!
We’re not. Everyone here knows meatballs were invented in China long ago. We’ve been over this. Yeesh.
Ok, I’m back. So sorry to miss this bruhaha.
