  1. Gem- Israeli is a nationality- with an attached country. I think most Jews, when you talk about national heritage, were men and women without countries in many senses. Anti-Semitism forced an introverted viewpoint on us. We wer part of a country but yet not. Germany is a perfect example, though extreme.

But an Israeli is really answering no differently than say a person who is Lebanese or Italian. The majority religions in those countries are Muslim and Catholic Yet they will identify themselves as Lebanese or Italian first, not Muslim or Catholic. But if someone from another country would ask me what I am, I always identify myself as either American, or Jewish-American if it is a question about my heritage.

  2. Just catching up.

    1. “Aren’t we going to pursue the discussion on “tranny Presidents” any further????” If you have some inside info to add, dibs, please share.

    2. Russian sommelier? I’ll add that to the list that includes jewish bartender and irish psychoanalyst.

    3. Speaking of the B63, has anyone tried that Roadify service? Does it work? Can you really find out by text when a late bus will arrive?
