I met a nice young Jewish/Brazilian engineer in Brazil– very nice, very smart, very funny. I might have known him in Brooklyn.. he seemed like he could be from everywhere/anywhere, but especially from here. He was carrying on about his mother who had to KNOW EVERYTHING about his life. It seems like as a Jew you are part of a gigantic global social club.
Same thing as Judaism seems to run in the Armenian Catholics community. After the persecution of Catholics in Armenia, many ran to France and Lebanon but if you ask them what they are, many say Armenian Catholic even though their families haven’t lived in Armenia for generations. I went to grad school with a girl who lives and was born in Paris. Her mom is French and her dad is from Lebanon. Her dad’s parents were Armenians who ran to Lebanon and then he moved to Paris when he was a teenager. When I asked her where is she from she said Paris but when asked if she was French, she said no, I am Armenian Catholic.

MM, I bet rob mixed up Black presidents with presidents that owned slaves. If not, since he’s really black, I’m sure he’ll straighten it out shortly.
College is wasted on some people, it seems.
Iwas born in Albany but I’ve never referred to myself as an Albanian Catholic.
i have no culture
from the talk last week about people not shampooing, I think there needs to be some ethnic cleansing around here.
“Quick question folks…just realized I’ve somehow lost or tossed the gasket that goes on my blender.”
You chopped it up with that pina colada you made last night…
Do they have any ethnic foods?

LDS (Mormons) consider themselves an ethnicity.
