  1. lechacal…let me correct you. You parked in the West End. that’s the lot from where I launch my boat. The place you went into was called Marine Specialties. Lots of junk, lots of deals but they also are the best for making up mooring lines and other rigging (way in the back).

Tea Dance is a term used for afternoon bar scene at a gay bar. it was traditionally just Sundays but P-Town has it every day from 4:00 to 7:00 at The Boatslip and a few other places.

    You actually climbed the monument????

BTW folks, P-Town was where the Pilgrims landed FIRST. Apparently the native American drag queens and their tea dance and leather bars drove them away.

  2. “Raisins should be banned from ever being included in baked good. They ruin oatmeal cookies for me in the same way walnuts completely ruin brownies for me.

Stick with the good stuff and keep the fruits and nuts out!”

100% agreement with this. WTF are raisins and nuts doing inside baked goods. They add nothing but hassle as they get stuck in your teeth.

  3. “oh no, snappy in my receipt for cookies to you when i said terry cloth i meant cheese cloth. no clue why i said terry cloth?! wtf”

Oh, that makes all the difference in the world, Rob. NOT.

Just stay away from food discussions, you’re making the rest of us ILL.

    Damn FOOL.

  4. Piggybacking on Gem’s q,

I was reading a semi-annual report from my portfolio and it listed the “Schedule of Investments – Unaudited” with lists of companies and amounts of stock to be bought in upcoming years, 2012-17 mostly. Are these the companies the fund will be investing in in the future, and do they really pick it out that far in advance?

  5. “DIBS – thanks – oh my profile is wrong – I just turned 35!”

Hmmm, potential flaw in the Brownstoner profile section. Seems to not update the ages for every year a poster has been online. Can someone in the PLUSA IT Department look into this?

  6. DIBS, just got back from a trip to P-town with wife and kids. It was raining the whole time. Parked at the north end of town where there is a public parking lot and a boat ramp, walked down the strip and then up to the tower. Everyone got wet. We stopped at a cool little store that sells random stuff like German Navy jackets and pith helmets and gas masks. Bought the daughter a parasol and bought the older son some seashells.

Didn’t get a chance to check out any of the restaurants you kindly recommended.

What is a tea dance BTW?
