I think the only parts that anyone wants to deny are those that are in direct conflict with our secular laws, like honor killing.
There are actually two young Muslim Girls that sell lemondae at the corner of Bainbridge and Stuyvesant on my way home. They wear the head scarf but not the full facial burkha.
The reason I don’t buy lemonade from them is becasue it is sweetened and I don’t drink beverages with sugar in them, not becasue of some irrational fear that they may be trying to poison all Americans.
I look forward to eye candy on the subway ride on the way home, be it Asian, Latino, black or middle eastern.
