Australians do U-turns ALL THE TIME. It’s totally ridiculous. They U-turn anywhere, any time. They are pathologically incapable of turning around any other way.
she stopped, snappy. A neighborhood woman. My second shot was of her license plate, since she took a while to get out of the car. Funny when something like that happens, you can tell everyone wants to call her a moron, but everyone is also thinking ‘there but for the love of G*d…’
yeah, mine’s in a belt pouch. As soon as I saw the collision coming, it’s already out and turned on. Bet that was within thirty seconds of the collision.
Ha! Too funny, Denton! Did the driver even bother to stop? 5th Ave is u-turn heaven for most motorists. Quite nuts. One night a car was pulling a u outside my bedroom window. A speeding car came along and knocked the other car onto the sidewalk. I actually ducked, thinking the car was gonna come up into my window!

it’s quite amazing how many people in this city walk around with $1,000+ cameras around their neck like they’re a fashion accessory (just an observation)
it’s even more amazing when they live in the projects!
dh, I need a camera for work, and I do photography for fun. So I always have one with me, ready to go. In this case it’s a Canon G10, about $400.
I wouldn’t be caught dead with a $1000 camera, tho, lol. For real work the cameras I use are considerably more expensive. But I don’t just carry them around.
dh, you could email me if you need some help.
I’m not hating Denton, just amazed. I was just shopping for a new one online and was amazed how expensive everything was. sheesh!

I’m not a total doofus…I keep my camera in my bag, not around my neck 🙂
