how exactly do they exploit their workers? i mean they definitely pay at least minimum wage, right? im asking because im curious cuz i hear that sentiment a lot. do they not get health insurance or something?
Why do I picture rob, whom I’ve never met, in the drivers seat as a student passenger with a cig hanging from his mouth cursing traffic lights and pedestrians?
I used to not go to Walmart (I hesitate to say “boycott” since during this time we didn’t have a car and were almost never in proximity of one of their stores) because I had heard about how they exploit their workers. Then a friend in NJ told me that her college student daughter who works part-time as a team leader for Target found out that Walmart offers $2.00/hour more for a similar position.
No boycotts, unless you count media outlets.
I don’t subscribe to any e-mail lists that would suggest what to boycott. My list of what might cause me to boycott would largely be different from the examples you cited (e.g. abortion), but I know boycott calls are common on the right as well as on the left.
I would consider it for a prima facie human rights breach but like donatella don’t monitor it much.
I don’t think I could wear a diamond without knowing it was conflict free.

I boycott Walmart because the employees at the one in Philadelphia were dumb, slow and skanky and the place was full of..

the only things i legitimately boycott is Apple and overpriced local mom and pop shops that cater to the yuppie lifestyle.

Don’t worry, Randolph, jokes on Rob because he doesn’t know how to drive.
well i plan to take driving lessons. i think perhaps the inability to know how to drive is what is keeping me oppressed.

Snappy, don’t waste your time opening those spam emails. besides, it makes chances higher you’ll get a virus.
Why would anyone believe anything sent out as a spam email anyway??
