Thanks, Rob – but I think I’ll take my chances. The chairs have been in my family for three generations so I think I’ll hang onto them.
um yeah, that’s the point. they are fine now, but once you take them in to get reupholstered there’s like a 20 percent chance of your chair coming back with bedbugs. do you really want to take that chance!?
and ew @ a chair being in a family for three generations. that’s a lot of ass and potential poo mist that it’s been thru.
since the city is so gung hung about giving ratings to restaurants about having roaches and rats, why doesnt it give furniture places, movie theatres, etc bedbug ratings!? oh thaaaaaaaat’s right.
Jessi, I’ve never used one down there but there are a lot and I’m sure they are much cheaper than up here. 4th Street is kind of the drapery/upholstery/fabric district. You should be able to find good ones there…and cheap fabric as well.

“Good idea, Biff. I should probably snap a pic first.”
Jessi, or, to save time, just Google a pic of an old chair in need of repair and post that. Here, just did one in 5 seconds. Easy peasy lemon squeezy*

*I’m nominating myself for the GOTD for that one.
My nonprofit is in the process of reupholstering half our furniture, I could find out the name.

I can remember saying that to a girl once when I was in 3rd grade.
“Cobble, can you please check the PLUSA Book of World Records and see if this qualifies for shortest blogacide ever?”
According to my loosely kept records, YES, we have a winner! DING DING DING!
(Will confer with PLUSA Mgmt and staff to be sure!)
“deadcatbounce, another ghostnic.”
I don’t know what a ghostnic is, but I definitely am not one, and resent being called one.

Thanks, Kens. Maybe we can go together and get a deal 🙂
