Was that the airline’s fault?
If you dealing with a connecting flight or a large hub and spoke system…..then it very well may be. Especially since you can’t get your money back.
You get treated better on an MTA bus these days. Most of their problems are the Govt not upgrading the FAA system and the rest are self inflicted. Granteed we’re a big place but I still don’t see how southwest can manage and the rest treat you like they are doing you a favor.
Just catching up here. Denton, couldn’t agree more with your sentiment, but I think it’s actually more the norm than not. I’ve met people in New Jersey who have never been to New York City.
As for Rob, who wrote about “backwards as hell and primative lazy ass europe” — you’re just revealing your ignorance and xenophobia. Getting out and seeing the world would do you a lot of good.
No ENY, you are not understanding the situation correctly. The airline was acting arbitrarily. Their policy was to accept plastic. They changed it since they themselves broke their own damn machine. Then they abused the paying customer in a cruel and arbitrary manner.
Well, thank God, there are some people who have some humanity — the guy sitting next to me.
DIBS, US Embassy and Gov would deny, like with caught spy, Rob is US Citizen

Just FYI, appropos of nothing, just to torment certain people…

Completely and UNnecessary punishment. very cruel too.
DIBS, you make an excellent point!
PArk Sloper….do you really want rob out there visiting foreign countries and giving Americans a bad name???
Cobble, any cookies planned? I’ll swing by and pick em up 🙂 As soon as my tummy is better, I’m going on a munching spree!
“DIBS, you cannot bring clam chowder on a plane. No liquids over 3 ounces. The last time I flew they even confiscated my salmon pate. BASTARDS!”
DCB, again, you know not of what you speak.
In most airports you can buy all sorts of food after you go through security. NO, you can’t buy it outside the airport and bring it on.
