We will only know for sure after the November elections (actually, if DC becomes Veto City, maybe not until 2012), but things are looking good.

In case you do not, I urge you to check out web sites and blogs such as Powerlineblog, Ace of Spades Headquarters, and HotAir.com to get an idea of what’s really going on; if you’re still getting your news from old media, it might not be that obvious; also talk radio such as Hugh Hewitt and Dennis Prager’s shows. I’d say Rush, too, but many people have an irrational dislike of RL; he’s not really my cup of tea, even if he’s a brilliant communicator…

  2. I ran into a site the other day that will combine all your investment portfolios into one. If they can get into them. OK, so there are a lot of sites that can do that. But what I dig about this one is that it pulls together a lot of stats about the entire portfolio. Here’s what it gives me:

    Portfolio Stats & Ratios
    P/E 13.2
    P/B 1.9
    ROA 9.4%
    ROE 22.0%
    PEG 0.2
    EV/EBITDA 6.2
    Beta 1.0
    Dividend Yield 2.6%

Since I’m definitely looking for yield the 2.6% is good, and the beta of 1.0 says I’m not over-reaching.
