Yeah, Europe isn’t really socialist at all because it’s not the Soviet Union–yeah, I get it.
Your Equal Protection clause question is juvenile. Why doesn’t not being able to marry your sister or mother violate the Equal Protection Clause? Two people! Two adults! Consent! Unfair! Because of historical and civilizational context and history.
I was curious about silverdaddies.com from all the discussion and opened it at work. Not recommendable. I think I can say that it was a “virus” if somebody decides to check where I spend my time on the internet. Of course, then they would see the OT.
DIBS, what a disaster. F the home owners. they can rent. We need to plow all that money toward trying to create jobs. we cant afford to throw that much $$$ to home owners.
cmu, you are right. It is not logical that because you admire Europe so much that you should move there. That is correct. My reaction was emotional because you are so often so negative, it is often exhausting and depressing to hear you rant on and on. You deserve to be here and not to go back to where you came from (though I did not even know that you came from somewhere else). The other part of my reaction is that I think that there is a day of reckoning for the EU and we are seeing it now. That when faced with competition from the Far East, their economies are hamstrung and inflexible. Unemployment is extremely high and systemic. They have been teetering on the verge of systemic disaster for some time now, narrowly averted recently by a rescue package but Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Greece and Spain almost tanked the European Union. We have our own unique set of problems here but I think that you might not be seeing the full reality of Europe.
EW! is this true!?

and dave i have NEVER voted for american idol. im not 13!
Developed Europe and the US both have about the same low (very low) birthrates. There is however a differnce in the immigration patterns. Most illegal immigrants in Europe cannot actually find jobs (and seem to be contributing to cultural divides in most countries) while here they are far less of a burden and far harder working.
