Legion, I’ve got about 20 golden delicious apples on my tree this year. i was amazed to see them when I bought the house but then I moved the tree and didn’t get a good crop back until this year.
I went into the backyard of the garden rental this past week to do maintenance work (clipping hedges, mulch, pruning) since the tenant won’t touch gardening shears)
and what to my surprise do I see?
Peaches!
I planted a dwarf peach tree from home depot two years ago, in a small corner of the yard.
didn’t think much about it since then.
well, I get to the back and I see these orange/yellow masses hanging off the branches of this 5 foot dwarf tree, I thought it was a joke, like some plastic fruit.
anyway, this year’s haul was 8 nice sized peaches, not a spot on any of them. A nice orange/yellow hue and peach fuzz on each of them. And they taste great!
I bought some tree feeding spikes this week just to keep the harvest bountiful. 😉
When I was a kid, a HUGE blue jay trapped my cat in a milk crate behind our barn… every time my poor ol’ pussy tried to make a run for it, the blue jay would dive bomb him!
I had to go rescue him — and that damn bird came at me too!
I went to Greenwood Cemetary for the first time on Monday.
It was fascinating & beautiful. Was amused by some very grand graves that had my mom’s family name. Used to look round cemetaries occasionally as a kid but forgot how interesting they were.
I like to rile up rob by talking about ensuite master bathrooms, and he goes on and on about poo mist like a maniac.
rob, you’re expected at the new thread just popped up
i like to make rile my dog up by saying birdie birdie birdie in the tree, and he starts barking like a maniac and tries to climb the tree!
*rob*
DIBS, just saw headline GS might spin off prop trading? very surprised to see it but less so when thinking over how much crap they got for it

The mockingbirds in the back here chase my visitor cat, squirrels and other birds. They are MEAN!
