Jury duty should be declared unconstitutional involuntary servitude, unless each juror is paid at the average hourly rate of the attorneys. Then you’d have some short trials.
I cannot understand how people passively allow themselves to be used by the legal system this way. What’s hard to not understand that me, as an independent suffers financial hardship that you, working for a corporation, do not? Or that someone’s job may be in jeopardy if they don’t show up for 2 weeks (I know, not supposed to happen…) Stupid.
Luckily for me, I said I would ‘follow my conscience’ and could not treat all the judge’s instruction as gospel, so y threw me off. Happens to be the truth too,

Well, that’s one reason. I daresay I wouldn’t be caught dead signing karaoke under any circumstances. But I think the real reason is I’m satisfied with interacting with the folks here in the electronic arena and otherwise feel no impetus to meet in person, as hard as that is for some people to grasp (not necessarily you, Donatella).

donatella, we might have to offer some free business advice to that frou frou pastry/coffee dude. from the last few times I walked or drove by there, it doesn’t look that busy. I like his stuff so it would be a shame if he didn’t survive

1.) im quite motivated thank you very much. sorry if some people just dont find Earth all that fascinating. newsflash not everyone is the same and some of us have other worldly motivations other than the lame typical Earth things like career, marriage, and crothfruit.
