  1. Cobble, there’s a Cobble Hill stoop poop story. It was NOT CDog, and, no, the mean woman on Amity didn’t post it. Someone over there is making derogatory remarks about BoCoCa >>>

  2. I was sprung from Jury Duty at 3:30, so I only wasted my day from 830-330. Now I’m on parole for another 8 years.

They’ve greatly improved the jury facilities since I last did time, but there’s still much room for improvement. You do not need hundreds of people showing up and sitting all day (except for the guy in the “Save My Union” tee since he wouldn’t be doing anything if he was at “work” anyway).

It’s easy for the Court to know what the case load is going to be for any given day (and they should make every judge enter electronically the number of cases on their calendars for which they expect juries to be picked). Then have jurors phone in the night before and only have them come in if you really need them; I phoned in and the recording said everyone must appear. In August, very few lawyers are around to try cases, and if one side is, the other prolly isn’t. Dumb.

They also need desks at the seats and more plugs. But the chairs were comfy and spacious and the A/C was just fine.

  3. “Early in the evening when it was just me, Xing, CGar & slopefarm, slopefarm revealed his REAL name!!!!!!”

I’m having my name legally changed to CGar so if any of you know my real name, kindly disgregard. And I have a $50 bet with a friend that in a year I’ll have a CGar tattoo on my shoulder.
