  1. No way the AZ case stops at the District Court. Will end up going to at least circuit, maybe supreme. The district court case will not be the one that gets printed in law school constitutional law books when the dust has settled.

  2. The Japanese are all about seasonal foods and at this time of year, the authentic places make cool noodle dishes which are delicious. Zaru soba is a plate of buckwheat noodles (properly al dente) with shredded nori (seaweed) with a soy dipping sauce. Hiyashi udon is cold vinegared noodles with dipping sauce. OMG. So DELICIOUS.

  3. Rob, there’s a Chinese supermarket on Hester and Elizabeth Sts. just a few blocks from Soho. Zillions of different kinds of ramen noodles, and just as cheap as the ones in “regular” supermarkets.

Congratulations on cutting back your smoking!

  4. Rob, definitely different than ramen but it’ll be personal opinion on whether the diff justifies price diff. Rob, if you like the noodle, you can get them in Asian markets. other than a slight diff in cooking time, they cook just like the ramen

  5. a japanese noodle shop is opening up right across the street from me. what are japanese noodles? is it just fancy ramen? not a fan of overpriced ramen when you get 5 packs for a dollar. are japanese noodles different?

ive cut my smoking back my 25% and have decided to try out on restaurant in my neighborhood a week. as long as it’s very reasonably priced tho.

  6. Just read the article on the AZ law. The judge sounds very smart.
I like the distinction she seemed to draw between police collecting immigration info after an arrest vs doing so based on their own interpretation of ‘probable cause’. She also seems to suggest that collection of immigration status info is not the same as immigration enforcement, which is a Federal prerogative. That sounds like a sensible distinction as well.
