  1. DIBS, please explain how you use Rate of Change to forecast the direction of prices. I have done extensive back testing ion ROC using various methods of correlation and testing for statistical significance and can find none.
Haven’t tried this on RE prices though but many other data series, and have come up empty.

A friend has been doing research on the effect of cognitive development and technology and is presenting some kind of paper in the fall on GPS and how it contributes to a deterioration in our ability to visualize spacial relationships and put together cognitive maps.

wow that is awesome, i would love to read her paper. perhaps ones day be in a control group for one of her experiments?! people with my condition cant understand GPS things either.. i mean yeah it makes it somewhat simpler, but it’s a lot more complicated than that really.

  3. wasder, think BHO means that neighbors will be scooping up all the adjoining ones so they can have a super wide house – kind of like Madonna did with her NYC brownstone houses purchase.

    I agree, use a map.

not everyone can read maps. there is a such thing as, i think the name is dyscartographia or something like that. basically if someone has it, you put a map in front of them and it reads like swahili. i have it, it’s a real condition. i wish more people knew about it accepted us as having a disability and not just thinking we are stupid or lazy. some people theorize that there’s even genetics involved. it’s funny MTA workers need to realize that this is a real condition and they really shouldnt tell people like us to just go look at the subway map. sorry but that subway map is a gigantic clusterf*ck, especially the newly designed ones which made things even more incomprehensible.

“Might not be any brownstones standing after this double dip!”

How is the double dip going to cause the brownstones to fall down?

Like all his other posts, this is just more “crazy talk.”
