Any of the following are more imprtant for a guy to be versed in: Deer Hunter and/or Apocalypse Now, Diner, Rashamon and/or Seven Samurai, Duck Soup, On teh Waterfront, High Noon.
CGar, you can tell by looking at the people on the street to gauge if it’s raining or not (ie any open umbrellas, folks w/o umbrellas walking/running really fast,…). to assist you, it’s raining in midtown so chances are it’s raining by you too
City of Manchester = just under 400,000. Greater Manchester (probably fairly similar in area to NYC) about 2,500,000.
I grew up just outside the city line (although it’s not called that there).
Similar for most UK cities outside London, although Birmingham and Leeds have quite extensive boundaries.
Kind of the inverse of Houston being the 4th biggest city in the US just because its area is so vast.
You can drive for 7 hours in roughly a straight line from NYC and still be in NY. If you drive for 7 hours in a straight line from London you’ll end up in the sea or, worse still, Scotland.
“British, etson. It’s in that netherworld of sexual ambiguity.”

Bachelor Party? Predator? YGBK!!!

OK, etson. So the delineations make it so that the “greater areas of” cities aren’t counted.
Can everyone please move over to the new nail salon thread and make as many jokes at my expense as possible?
Thank you.
