Did you see the NYT article about the Greek national rail company that has income of about 100 million euros and debt payments of about 1 billion euros. The average salary is 78,000K and some train drivers make 130,000K.
So, I get on a broiling hot uptown 6 train the other night at Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall, where I don’t usually find myself, and I’m standing up in front of this woman who is sitting down, comfortably but for the heat, trying to mind her own business, trying to read her novel, and trying her very best to ignore the George Costanza-wannabe hovering over her. So I move in closer, and she continues to ignore me. So I ask her if I’m standing too close, and she says “No”, still ignoring me. So, finally I take off my sunglasses, and I look her in the eyes, and, finally, the once dead architect Montrose Morris recognizes me!
“Geesh what does a poster have to do to get noticed around here?
(Sorry, Gem.) Good morning! Nice to ta see ya! : )
